Audit of editorial standards - BBC Trust

Following the compliance failures exposed by the BBC's use of competitions and quizzes, as well as the errors that led to the misleading use of promotional material relating to a documentary series about the Queen, the BBC commissioned an independent audit of the extent to which the BBC had both analysed the problems, identified solutions and put them effectively in place.

Tim Suter, Managing Director of Perspective, was one of three independent experts commissioned to undertake the work. Given his background at Ofcom, he focused particularly on aspects of editorial standards and related compliance procedures.
